Billable Expenses

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Billable expenses are for the purpose of tracking billable expenses which will be re-billed to customers at later date.

For example you might have a webdesign company where your company might be paying for domain names, licenses and other fees on behalf of your clients. The agreement you have with your clients is that they pay you by hour plus any fees you incur on behalf of them.

Billable expenses tab will help you keep track of these re-billable expenses so at the end of billing period, you can create sales invoices for your clients to recover these billable expenses.

Another advantage is that by using billable expenses, you will have more accurate and better looking financial statements since re-billable expenses will be treated as assets on your balance sheet rather than expenses on your profit and loss statement.
